1.1 UK50 ("UK50", "we", "us", "our") is a private company incorporated and registered in England and Wales. UK50 organises elite basketball events, showcases, camps, and tournaments for youth players across the United Kingdom, and operates a digital membership platform (the "Platform") connecting players, parents/guardians, coaches, and scouts involved in UK basketball.
1.2 These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the UK50 website at www.uk50.org (the "Website"), the Platform, all UK50 events, and any services provided by UK50.
1.3 By registering for a membership, accessing the Platform, or attending a UK50 event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not register or use our services.
1.4 These Terms apply to all users, including members registering as a Player/Parent/Guardian, Scout, or Coach (each a "Member").
1.5 UK50 may update these Terms at any time. We will notify Members of material changes via email or a notice on the Website. Continued use of the Platform or attendance at events following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
1.6 Any individual registering on behalf of a third party (including a parent or guardian registering a Minor) shall be deemed to have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that individual.
In these Terms, the following definitions apply:
UK50 offers the following membership tiers, each subject to these Terms:
3.2.1 To register, you must complete the online registration form on the Website and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
3.2.2 You must be at least 18 years old to register as a Scout or Coach. Players aged 13–17 must register with a parent or guardian's consent. We do not knowingly register children under 13 without verified parental consent.
3.2.3 By registering, you confirm that all information provided is truthful and accurate. UK50 reserves the right to verify your identity and membership eligibility at any time.
3.2.4 Membership is personal to the registered individual and is non-transferable.
3.3.1 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity conducted under your account.
3.3.2 You must notify UK50 immediately at info@uk50.org if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.
3.3.3 UK50 shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.
4.1 Certain membership tiers and events may require payment of a Subscription Fee. All applicable fees will be clearly displayed at the point of registration or booking.
4.2 Fees are payable in full at the time of registration unless otherwise stated. We accept payment via the secure payment methods available on the Website. UK50 does not store payment card details on its servers; all payment transactions are processed by our third-party payment providers.
4.3 All fees are stated in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT, unless otherwise stated.
4.4 If a payment fails or is rejected, UK50 reserves the right to suspend or restrict your membership until outstanding amounts are paid in full. UK50 may charge any bank or administration fees incurred as a result of a failed payment.
5.1 Statutory Cancellation Right: In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, Members who have purchased a Membership have the right to cancel within 14 days of registration ("cooling-off period"), provided they have not commenced using the membership services (including accessing exclusive digital content or registering for an Event).
5.2 To exercise your right to cancel within the cooling-off period, please contact us in writing at info@uk50.org with the subject line "Membership Cancellation". We will process refunds within 14 days of receiving a valid cancellation request.
5.3 Once you have accessed the Platform's member-only content, used any membership benefits, or registered for an Event, the right to a refund during the cooling-off period no longer applies unless UK50 agrees otherwise in its reasonable discretion.
5.4 Event Cancellation: Event-specific refund policies will be communicated at the point of booking. UK50 reserves the right to cancel or reschedule Events due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. In the event of a UK50-initiated cancellation, Members will receive a full refund of any event fees paid.
5.5 No refund will be issued where membership is suspended or terminated due to a breach of these Terms.
All Members agree to:

10.1 All Content on the Platform and Website, including but not limited to player ratings, rankings, scouting reports, editorial commentary, statistics, logos, designs, and software, is owned by or licensed to UK50 and is protected by applicable Intellectual Property Rights.
10.2 Members are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Platform and its Content for their own lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms. No other right is granted.
10.3 Members must not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, transmit, sell, or commercially exploit any Content from the Platform without UK50's prior written consent.
10.4 UK50 Player Ratings and data constitutes proprietary content. Any unauthorised distribution, resale, or publication of player ratings, data, or profiles is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
10.5 Members retain ownership of User Content they upload to the Platform. By uploading User Content, Members grant UK50 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, use, and distribute that content in connection with the operation and promotion of the Platform and UK50's services.
11.1 UK50 will use reasonable endeavours to ensure the Platform is available at all times, but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or due to circumstances beyond UK50's reasonable control.

13.3 By registering as a Member, you consent to the collection, processing, storage, and use of your personal data (and, where applicable, the personal data of a Minor in your care) as described in the Privacy Policy, including for the purposes of platform operation, event management, performance tracking, direct marketing (where lawfully permitted), and sharing with authorised third parties as described in the Privacy Policy.
13.4 Players' performance data, ratings, and profiles may be made accessible to Scouts and Coaches with active memberships on the Platform, and may be used by UK50 in publications, rankings, and promotional materials. Parent/guardian consent to this is obtained at the point of registration.

15.2 Player ratings and rankings published by UK50 represent the reasonable opinion of UK50's evaluators at the time of assessment and are not guarantees of future performance or scholarship eligibility.
15.3 UK50 does not guarantee that any Member will receive recruitment interest, scholarship offers, or professional opportunities as a result of participation in UK50 events or the Platform.
